ABOUT THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE-IMPULSE 40.

Cardiovascular system is the most intricate and integral part of a living being assigned to control major vital activities of the body and plays an important role in the smooth functioning of the other systems as well. Though cardiovascular system was not envisaged by ayurveda in the way, in which it is being described presently in modern medicine, it appears that the various references pertaining to cardiovascular activities indicate that ancient ayurved had a similar concept. References to the actual act of circulation are available in the Samhitas. Globally, cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) claim around 17.9 million lives annually, making them the primary cause of death. In concern to this alarming fact an effort has been made in impulse 404 — International Conference on cardiovascular disorders so as to: broaden the understanding of cardiovascular disorders vis-G- vis ayurvedic concepts, explore newer areas in the field of preventive cardiology, enhance understanding to CVD management, practical amalgamation of ancient and contemporary diagnostic tools and showcase documented success stories.

ABOUT THE THEME — IMPULSE 404

An impulse- signifies the presence of ‘life itself’, pumping throughout the system, imparting vigor and giving the term “being alive” it’s significance, here the 404 Error (not found) metaphorically represents the ambiguities of this impulse of life. An error or ambiguity in this impulse denotes one or the other medical emergency of cardiovascular system in nature which requires a keen and insightful perspective of a student to comprehend, clinician to manage & a researcher to explore.
