At the same time Vaidya is the ‘Angel of Wisdom” managing and maintaining wellness – Health and happiness. In any role, Vaidya needs his weapon viz. Potent medicine, his tool viz Rasa-rasayan Kalpa and of course tactful technique acquired from profound knowledge of classics. As rightly quoted in classics : ( र. र. स. 30/129)
Prepared personally or purchased or prescribed, the medicines used must be at par in theirstandards. Identity, Purity, Quality, Stability, Safety and Efficacy all factors must be assessed carefully so that extensive therapeutic utility without any adverse drug reaction can be achieved.This multifactorial assessment can be done only by proper knowledge of principles ofpharmaceutics and perfect practical application of itin clinical practice. Education of Ayurvedic Pharmaceutics i. 6. Ayurvediya Aushadhi Nirmana Shastra must provide thourough guidance for academicians, researchers, entrepreneurs and clinicians. Starting from raw material selection, pharmaceutical processing, evaluation of end product and understanding details about therapeutic utility, each and every step is the key factor for success in management of patients. Since 1999, Tilak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya has developed separate centre for imparting training of exclusively postgraduate courses.
C.PG.S. &R. A. as itis known amongst the world of Ayurveda presently conducts Post Graduate M.D./M. 5. (Ayu) courses in 14 subjects as per NCISM norms & Ph. D. courses in fourteen subjects under MUHS. The centre has a separate library with autolib library software to add to maximum utility of Ayurvedic, modern books & theses. There are CDs, audio tapes available too. A well equipped & specially designed Research Lab is a unique feature for P. G. training and for research purpose. Late Vd. Mama Gokhale Lounge, Board Room, Discussion & Teaching rooms are aided with audio visual modern facilities & internet.
Dept. of Rasashastra represents RSM’s Tilak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya in a remarkable way. The dept. conducts teaching – learning and research activities at various levels of UG, PG and Ph. D. degrees including certificate courses for foreigner students. The main goal is to cater professional competency to all the learners so as to excel in Ayurvedic Pharmaceutics known as Rasashastra Evum Bhaishaya Kalpana under NCISM, New Delhi and MUHS, Nashik. Conceptual lectures and presentations with hands on practical frainings under the guidance of expert and hugely experienced faculty is the pillar of this system. It is boosted with spacious well equipped practical laboratory which is loaded with authentic samples . The unique departmental library adds up to the facilities for teaching – learning, including computer aided digital interface. Innovativeness & Creativity are well versed in this happening part of the Institute. Hence awarded with Best Dept. Prize.
