Subject: National Exit Test for granting license to practice as Medical Practioner of respective desciplines of Indian System of Medicine – reg.
Sir/Madam,
In reference to the subject cited above, I am directed by the Competent Authority to inform that:-
2. The National Commission for Indian System of Medicine Act, 2020 provision in section 15 (1)(2)(3) states to conduct National Exit Test for a final year medical under graduate students.

Further, the National Examinations for Indian System of Medicine Regulations, 2023, section 6 sub section (1)(2)(3)(4)(5) clause (a)(b)(c) and sub section (6) of states that: –
“(1) A National Exit Test of each discipline such as Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Sowa Rigpa of Indian System of Medicine shall be conducted by the Commission through a designated authority.
(2) The National Exit Test shall be held for granting license to practice as medical practitioner of respective discipline of Indian system of medicine and for enrollment in the State Register or National Register as a registered medical practitioner of Indian system of medicine after completing one-year internship.
(3) The examination shall be problem based to test the clinical competency, understanding of medical ethics and the ability to deal with medico-legal cases as a medical practitioner in the discipline Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Sowa-Rigpa, as the case may be. (4) The National Exit Test, shall be conducted ordinarily in the month of February and August, every year.
(5) Eligibility for appearing National Exit Test shall be as under.-
(a) an intern who has completed minimum two hundred and seventy days of internship as on closing date of the submission of the application for National Exit Test; or
(b) graduates of Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Sowa-Rigpa who have completed one year compulsory internship; or (c) Foreign nationals whose medical qualification has been recognized under section the Act. 36 of

 

(6) Without qualifying National Exit Test, any graduate of Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery or Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery or Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery or Bachelor of Sowa Rigpa Medicine and Surgery, shall not be eligible for enrollment in the State Register or National Register, as the case may be.

 

So, you are directed to disseminate this information to all the final year students and intern of your college to make them aware of this examination and avoid unnecessary correspondence to the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine. The process/procedure of the examination has to be completed by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine within three years from the date on which this Act came into force.

    We students are helpless please do something we have no time to prepare it’s difficult for all of us
    Atleast not from our batch we have only three months it’s not now no next exam from our batch it’s request!!!!!
