Editorial Review

All manuscripts undergo rigorous editorial review upon submission:

  • Manuscripts are initially assessed for alignment with the journal’s scope and quality standards.
  • Submissions that meet editorial criteria proceed to double-blind peer review for a more thorough evaluation.
  • In exceptional cases, members of the Editorial Board (e.g., Associate Editors, Senior Editors) may act as reviewers to provide specialized insights or expedite the review process.

Peer Review Process

The journal employs a double-blind peer review process:

  • Confidentiality: Reviewer and author identities are concealed throughout the review process.
  • Reviewer Assignment: Each manuscript is typically assigned to 2–3 expert reviewers, with additional reviewers consulted for technical or specialized expertise.
  • Objective Evaluation: Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on criteria such as:
    • Novelty of research
    • Methodological soundness
    • Conceptual significance
    • Alignment with the journal’s scope
  • Final Decision: The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision, guided by reviewers’ feedback and editorial considerations.

Reviewers’ Responsibilities

Reviewers play a pivotal role in maintaining the journal’s quality and credibility. They are expected to:

  • Provide constructive and unbiased feedback within agreed timelines.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality about the manuscripts they assess.
  • Disclose any conflicts of interest that may influence their impartiality.
  • Uphold the highest standards of integrity and objectivity in their evaluations.

Conflict of Interest

To ensure integrity, reviewers are required to:

  • Disclose any potential conflicts of interest before accepting an invitation to review.
  • Recuse themselves from reviewing manuscripts if conflicts significantly impair impartiality.

Confidentiality and Anonymity

The journal upholds strict confidentiality:

  • Reviewers’ identities remain undisclosed to authors and vice versa.
  • Authors are discouraged from attempting to identify or contact reviewers, as this may compromise the process’s integrity.

Acknowledgment of Reviewers

We recognize the invaluable contributions of our reviewers:

  • Their names may be listed in an annual acknowledgment (with their consent).
  • Certificates or letters of appreciation may be issued to acknowledge their efforts.

Editorial Independence

The editorial process operates independently to ensure that:

  • All decisions are based solely on academic merit and ethical considerations.
  • Editorial board members, including Associate Editors or Senior Editors, may act as reviewers when necessary, ensuring rigorous and impartial evaluations.

Thus,

The International Journal of Ayurveda360 is committed to upholding the highest standards of peer review excellence. Our comprehensive Peer Review Policy ensures a transparent, efficient, and fair evaluation of manuscripts, fostering trust and credibility within the academic community.
