International Journal of Ayurveda360
The International Journal of Ayurveda360 is a bimonthly, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes high-quality research in Ayurveda and allied health sciences. These guidelines provide comprehensive instructions for manuscript submission, preparation, ethical compliance, authorship, peer review, and publication.
1. Editorial & Peer Review Process

Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
-
All submissions undergo initial editorial screening for scope, relevance, and originality.
-
Suitable manuscripts are sent for double-anonymous peer review by at least two independent experts.
-
Authors may suggest reviewers (optional), but the final selection is at the editors' discretion.
-
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision based on reviewer feedback.
-
Manuscripts submitted by editorial board members are handled independently to avoid conflicts of interest.
2. Authorship Criteria
The journal follows the ICMJE authorship criteria. To qualify, each author must meet all four of the following:

Substantially contributed to the study design, data acquisition, or analysis

Participated in drafting or critically revising the manuscript
-
Approved the final version of the manuscript
-
Agrees to be accountable for all aspects of the work
Authors who do not meet these four criteria should be listed in the Acknowledgements section.
Author Contributions
Each author must clearly state their role(s) in:

Study design
-
Literature review
-
Data acquisition or analysis
-
Manuscript writing or editing
At least one author should be designated as the guarantor of the work, responsible for its overall integrity.
Author Limits
-
The number of authors should reflect the scope of work.

Authorship changes after submission require written approval from all authors.
3. Ethical Standards
Human and Animal Studies
-
Human studies must follow the Helsinki Declaration and include institutional ethics approval.
-
Informed consent is mandatory and must be documented.
-
Animal studies must follow CPCSEA or equivalent ethical guidelines.
Clinical Trials
-
Clinical trials started after June 2018 must be registered with a public registry (e.g., CTRI, ClinicalTrials.gov, ISRCTN, UMIN).
-
Trials started earlier will be considered if retrospectively registered.
4. Anti-Plagiarism Policy
-
Manuscripts are screened using tools like Turnitin/iThenticate.
-
Plagiarism, self-plagiarism, and uncredited paraphrasing are strictly prohibited.
-
Confirmed violations will result in rejection or retraction and potential notification to institutions.
5. Conflicts of Interest
All authors must disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest, including affiliations or relationships that could influence the manuscript.

7. Manuscript Preparation
Language

Use American English.

Sanskrit terms should be transliterated using Roman script.

Use Vancouver Style. Number references in the order cited in text ([1], [2], etc.).

9. Acknowledgements
Mention non-author contributors, technical or material support, or funding sources here.
10. Financial Disclosure
State all sources of funding, grant numbers, and the role of funders in the research. Declare if no external funding was received.
11. Data Availability
Authors must include a data availability statement, describing where supporting data can be accessed (e.g., institutional repositories, Zenodo).
12. Patient Privacy
Identifying information must be anonymized. Informed consent is required for any case reports, images, or identifiable content.
13. Revisions
Revised submissions must include:

A point-by-point response to reviewer comments
14. Proofs & Reprints

Proofs are sent to the corresponding author and must be returned within 3 days.

Reprints can be purchased at this stage upon request.
15. Publication Frequency
The journal is published bimonthly. Accepted articles may appear online as Ahead of Print before issue assignment.
16. Article Processing Charges (APC)
Modest APCs are applied post-acceptance to support peer review and publishing infrastructure:

₹1,250 – For standard double-review

₹1,750 – For manuscripts requiring three or more reviews
17. Copyright & Licensing
All published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.
“I hereby grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish my work under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, which allows others to copy, distribute, and build upon the work, provided that proper attribution is given to the original authors.”
